FAQ: What is the difference in power of a V-6 verses a 4 cylinder in the Nissan Altima?

The 2 main differences is horse power and repairs. The V-6 as you can imaging has more horse power compared to the 4 cylinder, but i wouldn't say you need it in a Nissan Altima. The Altima is a smaller car that doesn't exactly need all that horse power in my opinion. Plus you wouldn't need the extra horse power to hall heavy equipment. Grant it I'm not one of the speedsters racing down I-95. It's really your preference. Then when it comes to repairs, there is a more likely hood that the V-6 has more repairs than a 4 cylinder because it is way more complicated and sophisticated compared to the 4 cylinder. Economically it is a toss up. It's all about efficiency. The engine that is matched best to the demands of the car and driver, has low internal friction, burns fuel more effectively will win. Overall one isn't better than the other its all about preference.
